John Imah, co-founder and CEO of SPREEAI, a fashion-tech company using AI to help shoppers see how clothes look on them before they buy, is profiled. Imah’s Instagram bio says, “Rarely where you expect,” and he proves it by stating, “I play French horn. Like, seriously—French horn, trumpet, and piano,” noting he was “a complete band nerd growing up.” He explains, “Music is where I actually go quiet and think... No headlines, no meetings, no valuations—just discipline, creativity, and expression.” Before the Met Gala and his company, Imah says he sold his first company as a teenager. Asked what a 15-year-old does after that, he says, “I reinvested most of it,” with “maybe a sneaker purchase somewhere in the mix,” adding, “Once you feel that, you can’t unfeel it.”
