At VivaTech on June 11, 2025, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang declared that the “ChatGPT moment” for physical AI has officially arrived, framing it as the starting gun for a decade-long buildout of autonomous machines, robotics, and digital twins. The estimated size of this opportunity, according to Nvidia, is roughly $50 trillion across manufacturing, logistics, autonomous vehicles, and adjacent sectors. In January 2025, the company rolled out significant updates to its Omniverse platform and introduced new Cosmos models to accelerate generative physical AI technologies. The same chips powering these ambitions are relied upon by crypto mining operations and decentralized GPU networks; if physical AI demand explodes, GPU supply constraints could tighten further, pushing up costs. Huang noted that “tokens are now profitable” for AI firms, referring to AI output tokens rather than blockchain tokens. Huang has also been engaging US policymakers on AI regulation, advocating for a measured approach, with governance mechanisms proposed for AI oversight borrowing concepts from blockchain including transparency, auditability, and decentralized decision-making.
