The 4th Agri-Food Tech Startup Expo (AFPRO 2026) will be held at COEX in Seoul on the third floor, Hall C, from the 15th to the 17th for three days. Hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, the event will bring in about 220 startups with 360 booths, showcasing innovations in agri-tech, food tech, green bio, pet tech, and physical AI. The domestic pet market is expected to surge from 850 billion won in August 2025 to 21 trillion won by 2032. A key pet tech example is a diagnostic support technology using AI to analyze, in seconds, periodontal disease, cataracts, and patellar luxation from a smartphone photo of a dog. Featured startups include Grass Medi, Peterpeter, Pells, Diddle Lab, Active Pet, and Rebon Lab. Nine investment firms will participate in on-site startup scouting and investment consultations. The expo's core theme, "Physical AI," includes robot technology that can recognize crops for harvesting or follow workers to carry loads, addressing labor shortages.
