Tesla Inc. CEO Elon Musk has predicted that self-driving cars will cause traffic to increase in the future, stating that "traffic will get much worse with robot cars" because "the pain of driving yourself" is not present anymore. Musk responded to investment firm Mach 33's CEO, Aaron Burnett, who said his annual distance covered had "doubled" since using a vehicle with autonomous capabilities, noting his robot drove him "99% of the time." In a separate post, Musk reaffirmed that the Full Self-Driving (FSD) system would be able to "remember individual user preferences" so users would not need to calibrate the system every time. He had earlier said FSD would remember where drivers prefer to park at regular destinations via a future update. Ahead of Tesla's earnings call, investors posted questions about the FSD and Robotaxi roadmap and the Optimus humanoid robot. Tesla also announced it will ramp up production capacity at the Gigafactory in Berlin and expand the number of markets it serves.
