Amazon.com, Inc. reported Q2 results with a focus on AWS revenue, AI spending, and Big Tech comparisons, while also managing a $2.5B FTC settlement consisting of $1.5B refunds and a $1B penalty, with eligible U.S. Prime members able to claim up to $51 by Jul 27, 2026. Amazon pledged to cover energy and infrastructure costs for AI data centers, a nonbinding pledge covering about 80% of U.S. delivered power. EU lawmakers criticized the Digital Markets Act for labeling Amazon a gatekeeper.
