At the AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva, a humanoid robot developed in Switzerland by RB-Labs astonished visitors by seamlessly changing its face in real time to resemble US President Donald Trump, former President Barack Obama, and Meta chief executive Mark Zuckerberg. Rather than relying on fixed facial features, the robot projects highly realistic digital faces onto its head, allowing it to switch identities in seconds while maintaining natural expressions, eye movements, and conversations. Co-founder Robin Krambroeckers told Reuters that the platform is designed to explore more natural communication between humans and robots. The demonstration highlighted advances in robotics and generative AI, sparking discussions about opportunities and ethical challenges. The summit, organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), featured hundreds of exhibits covering robotics, healthcare, education, disaster response, accessibility, and environmental monitoring.
