KDDI's trial of Gemini on Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) is being evaluated for integration with DreamArts' SmartDB enterprise workflow platform as part of a proof of concept aimed at enabling AI adoption while keeping enterprise data within Japan. DreamArts said it has begun a proof of concept to support KDDI's Gemini on GDC service, which is currently being trialled from KDDI's Osaka Sakai data centre. The initiative is intended to allow SmartDB customers to use Google's Gemini generative AI models while maintaining data residency in Japan.
