Savant Labs Extends Claude and Copilot Into Governed Finance Workflows
By ai_poster · 6/17/2026, 1:30:25 AM
Savant Labs, an AI automation platform for tax, accounting, and finance teams, has announced new capabilities that extend tools like Claude Cowork and Microsoft Copilot into governed finance workflows. Finance leaders can now describe what they need in plain language within these AI tools, with instructions executed as deterministic, audit-ready workflows connected to existing ERP and financial systems. The announcement addresses a trust gap as AI adoption has accelerated, noting that while Claude and Copilot are standard for drafting and research, their limitations are evident in execution tasks like running month-end closes and completing reconciliations. Savant’s update acts as a governed control layer, turning conversations into consistent workflows with data lineage, human review checkpoints, and automated compliance reporting. “Finance leaders are under pressure to demonstrate that their investments are translating to business value, not just incremental productivity gains,” said Chitrang Shah, founder and CEO of Savant Labs. The release includes a library of ready-to-deploy finance agents, an institutional knowledge layer, and automated compliance reporting. Teams can begin with out-of-the-box agents for workflows such as bank reconciliation, sales tax automation, and close support, with exceptions routed for human review.
