SmartRent, a provider of smart home and property solutions to the rental housing industry, has announced a multi-year initiative with Databricks. Under the agreement, SmartRent will integrate the Databricks Data + AI Platform as the foundational engine for its data architecture. The collaboration combines SmartRent’s physical scale with enterprise-grade data and AI capabilities to deliver insights and operational outcomes that benefit property owners, on-site teams, residents, single family and the multifamily industry. Sangeeth Ponathil, Chief Information Officer of SmartRent, said that pairing the expansive reach of physical infrastructure with the AI-driven property intelligence and workflow automation capabilities of the Databricks platform builds the next generation of property intelligence. Sarah Branfman, Global VP of ISV at Databricks, said that leveraging the Built On program will allow SmartRent to de-risk and accelerate how they bring their solutions to market.
