A user tested Microsoft Copilot in Outlook to find a missing email about Excel training received roughly a month ago, with no memory of the sender or exact wording. The standard Outlook search box returned absolutely nothing when the user typed "Last week". However, clicking the "Search with Copilot" button showed 42 emails of activity from last week, which the user noted was far less than actually received. Using Copilot to ask "Which emails are enquiries?" produced a list of genuine enquiries, highlighting priorities without requiring the user to remember Outlook's search syntax. The round score was Copilot 1 - Outlook 0. The user then tested the Calendar function, typing "next week" in the search box, but was looking at appointments in November 2025, which was described as "anything but".
