xAI has expanded Grok's voice capabilities with 21 new voices now live across iOS, Android, and web, bringing the production voice library to 26 total. The five original voices—Ara, Eve, Leo, Rex, and Sal—remain available and received retraining to improve naturalness, pacing, phrasing, and emphasis. The new voices were each developed for specific professional contexts, including customer support, character voices, commentary, advertising, and education. All 21 new voices are natively multilingual, supporting over 25 languages without accent artifacts or unnatural phrasing. The new voices are available on iOS, Android, and web, as well as in the realtime Voice Agent API, the Text-to-Speech API, and the new Grok Voice Agent Builder, a dedicated environment for building voice-enabled agents. Developers can control speech delivery through support for speech control tags, including [pause] and <whisper>.
