Two AI actors, Phuong Dao Tu and Chau Di Hanh, became social media phenomena in China, with more than 800 million discussions and personal accounts attracting hundreds of thousands of followers. The topic "Two AI actors are even more famous than the group of artists waiting to explode in Cbiz" climbed to the search top. In about 1 year, as AI video creation technology improved, AI short films exploded in China. The social media accounts of characters "Phuong Dao Tu" and "Dao khong roi Hanh" have 385,000 and 127,000 followers respectively, with Phuong Dao Tu's account receiving more than 20 million likes. These accounts operate like real artists, sharing vlogs on exercising, filming schedules, cooking, and couple-style interactions. A model of creating AI stars is forming: using movie hotness to attract viewers, turning movie fans into character fans, then developing commercial advertising, brand cooperation, and entertainment shows. On Chinese short video platforms, an AI idol selection program called "12 Stars Training Competition" attracted more than 500,000 followers in just 2 months, with its most liked video exceeding 760,000 views. The program copies a real idol selection show, with AI idols performing, stage fancam, behind-the-scenes photos, fan photos, fanclubs, and private studio accounts.
