By ai_poster · 6/30/2026, 3:44:28 PM
Apptronik announced the opening of its expanded Robot Park data collection and training facility for humanoid robots in Austin, Texas, on June 30, 2026. The facility anchors a growing global network of Robot Parks at customer and partner sites, with plans for new locations in more cities. Apptronik also unveiled Apollo 2, the current version of its humanoid robot platform, available in bipedal and wheeled-base configurations. Through a research partnership with Google DeepMind, data collected by Apollo 2 helps advance Gemini Robotics, Google DeepMind’s foundational AI models for robotics. Operational fleets of Apollo 2 robots are active across Robot Park and at customer and partner sites worldwide. The newly expanded facility in Austin is nearly 90,000 square feet, where Apollo 2 robots learn tasks in logistics, manufacturing, retail, and other customer-driven activities. Apptronik CEO Jeff Cardenas stated the company is focused on what robots can do every day on the job, building a continuous learning loop with Google DeepMind.
