The Gemini app is rolling out tweaks that simplify the interface, including a new model picker that no longer explicitly lists the “Standard” default and just shows “Extended thinking” for a one-step process, a change widely rolled out on Android and the web. Additionally, Gemini Spark on Android now uses top tabs for All, Scheduled, Needs input, In progress, and Completed, with the old menu button replaced by a magnifying glass icon to “Search tasks,” following Google AI Pro users getting access to Spark last week. Meanwhile, the Gemini app on Android is rolling out new settings to control “Notifications” for: Daily brief, Scheduled actions, Responses, and Product updates and tips. Notifications are not widely rolled out yet; once available, they will be found in the account menu.
