WPP reported a 4.4% drop in global revenue to £6.37 billion for the half-year ended June 30, down from £6.66 billion a year earlier, with India operations declining 2.9% in like-for-like revenue in the first half of 2026 due to the timing of major sporting events. Chief Executive Cindy Rose is executing the Elevate28 turnaround strategy to transform the advertising giant from a traditional holding company into an integrated, AI-powered business. Key initiatives include WPP Enterprise Solutions, which generated £1.8 billion last year, and expanded partnerships with Google, Meta, and AWS to embed AI tools into the WPP Open platform. Revenue less pass-through costs fell 4.7% on a like-for-like basis to £4.75 billion, while headline operating profit declined 3.4% to £398 million, with the operating margin improving to 8.4% from 8.2%. The Asia-Pacific region declined 3.8% in the first six months but returned to marginal growth of 0.3% in the second quarter.
