Jane Heffner, global vice president of channel communication at Teradyne Robotics, has been elected president of the International Federation of Robotics, taking over the rotating role from Takayuki Ito of Fanuc. Heffner has more than two decades of leadership experience across automation, robotics, automotive and aerospace. Adrien Brouillard, executive president of Stäubli’s robotics division, was elected IFR vice president after more than 15 years in leadership roles at Stäubli. Heffner expressed gratitude to Ito for his leadership since taking office in 2024, stating, “The global robotics industry is at an important inflection point, driven by rapid advancements in artificial intelligence and automation.”
