Rupert Mitchell, author of Blind Squirrel Macro, said on Squawk Box Asia that OpenAI and Anthropic face huge pressure to continue spending as they head toward listings. He noted that making accurate valuations of the two AI labs is difficult amid the circular financing of the AI trade, due to challenges in assessing profitability and the need to maintain frontier AI status.
