The XRP Ledger (XRPL) is evolving beyond cross-border payments with new developments in tokenized real-world assets, AI-driven commerce, and developer funding. Trensik, a verified RWA platform on XRPL, has introduced tokenized versions of SpaceX, Nvidia, and Tesla, giving users blockchain-based exposure to these companies. Trensik says demand for tokenized U.S. equities is rising, particularly among Chinese investors seeking offshore crypto markets to access American stocks despite Beijing's capital controls. Among the newly listed assets is wSPCX, a tokenized representation tied to SpaceX that can be traded natively on XRPL. Separately, technology firm t54 announced that merchants and autonomous AI agents can now settle payments using XRP and RLUSD through its x402 Facilitator, enabling AI agents to purchase APIs, cloud computing, and other online resources with near-instant settlement on XRPL. The ecosystem also gained support for Mastercard's Verifiable Intent standard, providing cryptographic proof that an AI agent is authorized to make a payment. Additionally, XRPL Commons launched a three-track grants program supporting open-source contributors, startups, and strategic ecosystem integrations.
