KT chief executive Park Yun-young visited the KT Cloud Mokdong 2 Data Center in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, on the 6th to inspect infrastructure operations and technology development for KT Group’s AI data centers and cloud. During the visit, Park encouraged employees, reviewed the infrastructure operation system, and toured the integrated control center and key facilities. She also checked the status of data center interconnection (DCI) operations, a core technology that consolidates and handles traffic surges between data centers as AI services expand, and asked the team to improve the quality and stability of AI services based on DCI. Park visited the “AI Innovation Center” inside the data center to review next-generation AI data center technologies, including D2C (Direct-to-Chip) liquid cooling, which was commercialized for the first time in Korea at the Gasan AI Data Center. Park said, “KT’s strength lies in its long-accumulated data center operation experience and technical know-how,” and added, “Let’s build this into differentiated competitiveness and join forces across the entire group so that KT Group’s capabilities translate into customer value.”
