Google has announced that users can now use Gemini inside Google Slides to redesign entire presentations. After the feature failed to work for the writer, possibly because it has not rolled out to everyone yet, the writer uploaded a whole presentation directly into the Gemini chatbot, where it seemed to work fine. The writer fed it an amateurish PowerPoint presentation his son had been given by his art teacher at school, a colorful and fun but not very professional art lesson on perspective. The prompt asked Gemini to redesign the entire presentation to look professionally designed, preserving all factual information, keeping everything editable in Google Slides, and applying a consistent visual style. After about a minute, Gemini announced the slide deck on Urban Perspective Landscape Drawing was ready. The result looked much more professional, but Gemini introduced a much more formal teaching structure, with sections on learning objectives, spatial depth, architectural techniques and a two-week project timeline, and it also introduced additional instructional material, changed the tone, and reorganised the original lesson, including terminology such as “Architectural.”
