In June 2026, Bell Canada, Cohere, Hypertec and BUZZ High Performance Computing announced a major deal to build sovereign Canadian AI infrastructure using Bell’s Merritt, BC data centre, Hypertec-made hardware and NVIDIA’s DSX platform to power Cohere’s enterprise-grade AI models. This partnership strengthens Bell AI Fabric as a homegrown platform for secure, high-performance AI workloads, potentially deepening BCE’s relationships with Canadian government and large enterprise customers. The March 2026 expansion of Bell AI Fabric with BUZZ HPC at the Merritt facility ties directly into this latest sovereign AI deal. BCE’s narrative projects CA$25.9 billion revenue and CA$2.7 billion earnings by 2029, requiring 1.9% yearly revenue growth and an earnings decrease of CA$3.6 billion from CA$6.3 billion today. The most optimistic analysts saw CA$26.8 billion of revenue and CA$3.1 billion of earnings by 2028, treating sovereign AI leadership as a major upside swing factor.
