Alphabet (NASDAQ: GOOGL) shares fell 3.14% to $346.31 even as Google signed a five-year cloud and artificial intelligence partnership with Ryanair. The agreement will bring Google's Gemini AI, DeepMind models, Workspace, and cloud services into the airline's operations as Ryanair prepares for further passenger growth. Ryanair plans to deploy the technology across about 35,000 employees, using Google's AI systems for crew scheduling, operational decisions, maintenance planning and other internal tasks while pursuing its target of carrying 300 million passengers annually by 2034. Google Cloud will become part of Ryanair's dual-cloud strategy, which Ryanair said will reduce its exposure to technology outages while providing additional computing capacity. Ryanair CEO Eddie Wilson said the dual-cloud strategy will provide infrastructure resilience while working with technology partners focused on speed and efficiency. Gemini Enterprise will allow Ryanair to develop custom AI agents to automate selected decisions and workflows. Financial terms of the five-year agreement were not disclosed. Ryanair will also use Google DeepMind technology, including AlphaEvolve and WeatherNext, for fleet operations and maintenance scheduling. Google Workspace will also become available across Ryanair's workforce. Alphabet Class A shares traded at $346.31 after falling 3.14%, despite the announcement of the Ryanair partnership.
