A digitally rendered monkey named Boltu Bandar and his oversized companion star in the Indian YouTube channel **Bandar Apna Dost**, which generates an estimated **₹35–38 crore** a year. According to a global study by Kapwing that combed through **15,000** of the world’s most popular YouTube channels, it is the most-watched channel built entirely on AI-generated video, with **2.07 billion views** and **more than 2.76 million subscribers**. The channel produces looping, wordless, emotionally exaggerated scenarios with no live-action footage, human performers, or writers. Kapwing’s broader study found **278** channels worldwide composed entirely of AI-generated content, pulling in **over 63 billion views** and **221 million subscribers**. Spain leads on subscriber count, South Korea’s AI-slop channels have **8.45 billion views**, and a Spanish-language US channel, Cuentos Fascinantes, holds the highest individual subscriber tally. Digital rights researcher Rohini Lakshane explained the appeal lies in the absurd visuals, hyper-masculine set-pieces, and the total absence of a storyline.
