Text-to-SQL tooling is solving the long-standing problem of time and technical know-how needed to get from a question to an output. However, closing this gap sharpens the more important dimension: the quality of the insight itself, including knowing what question to ask in the first place. Historically, analysts served as liaisons between business and IT teams owning Data Warehouses, but tools like QlikView, Power BI, and Tableau freed them from legacy systems, enabling quick iteration.
