Code in the first developer beta of tvOS 27 reportedly includes various Apple Intelligence frameworks, backing up rumors that Siri AI may be coming to the HomePod and Apple TV. Since the HomePod and HomePod mini also run a version of tvOS, the implication is that Apple Intelligence could come to both. Code to do with the first time a user sets up a HomePod refers to Siri AI. tvOS 27 also has references to new hardware, specifically the N1 chip, which is Apple's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi processor that does not exist in any currently shipping Apple TV or HomePod models. The code may also be a clue that the rumored Apple Home Hub is nearly ready to launch. However, the presence of such code does not mean features will necessarily ship in the next versions of HomePods or Apple TV, and Apple plans to release new hardware through into 2028. These code fragments were first seen by Macworld.
