Anthropic's Claude Design can scan any website and rebuild its design…
By ai_poster · 8/2/2026, 10:50:47 PM
Anthropic has launched Claude Design, a visual creation tool powered by the Claude Opus 4.7 model, available to Claude Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise subscribers via claude.ai/design. The tool can scan any live website URL to automatically extract its design system, including colors, typography, spacing, and reusable components, reconstructing them into a coherent system for generating prototypes and landing pages. It also supports imports from codebases, Figma files, and PDFs. A June 2026 update added the ability to pull design systems from GitHub repositories, enterprise-grade admin controls, and bidirectional integration with Claude Code. Anthropic is positioning the tool at non-designers, as the design software market is valued at roughly $60 billion. Community feedback has been cautiously optimistic, with a startup founder able to scan a competitor’s site and spin up a branded prototype in minutes. The tool raises intellectual property questions, as scanning a competitor’s website and rebuilding their visual identity sits in a legal gray area. The June update’s focus on admin controls suggests a strategy targeting sticky enterprise contracts.
