AI actress Tilly Norwood, who glitched mid-interview and began speaking Chinese on the Piers Morgan Uncensored show in a clip viewed more than eight million times, stars in an upcoming AI-generated film, Misaligned. Her creators' "Talking Tilly" service requires callers to pass an automated age check before their first call connects, with a video selfie analysed by Spain-based identity verification provider Didit and a government photo ID upload as fallback. Xicoia Ltd, the UK company behind Tilly, says the selfie travels directly to Didit, no faceprint or biometric template is created, and neither the selfie nor any ID image is kept; an approximate age band and a reference number are retained instead. The check cannot be skipped, applies worldwide, and was added to the terms this month alongside a workplace-use ban and new automated safety systems. During every call, the system watches the camera feed and listens to tone of voice to infer emotional state, which the privacy policy says "cannot be switched off for an individual call."
