Iyad Sultan, Pediatric Oncologist and Chief Health Informatics Officer at King Hussein Cancer Center, announced on LinkedIn the completion of the final session of a Prompt Engineering and Clinical AI course, part of the Master of Science in Cancer Care Informatics at King Hussein Cancer Center and the University of Jordan. The course closed with Ethics of AI in Healthcare. Sultan stated that students in the program will practice in a world where AI is already embedded in clinical workflows, calling it “today’s reality.” He noted that well-designed AI tools used by practitioners who understand their limits can make care safer for patients, while the same tools misunderstood or misapplied add risk and place new demands on clinical staff. The course was built on the belief that a practitioner who understands how these systems work and where they fail is better equipped than one who simply uses them. Sultan expressed pride in the students and gratitude to colleagues at KHCC and UoJ.
