Coursera has made a $100 million strategic equity investment in LearnVector, a new AI-native learning company founded and led by Coursera co-founder Andrew Ng, giving Coursera a one-third ownership interest in LearnVector on a fully diluted basis. The transaction advances Coursera’s broader AI strategy and reflects its belief that artificial intelligence will expand demand for trusted learning. LearnVector is developing one-on-one learning experiences powered by agentic AI, intended to plan personalized learning paths, adapt to how each person learns, and continue working with learners until they demonstrate mastery. Ng founded LearnVector in 2026 after co-founding Coursera and Google Brain. Coursera formed a special committee of independent directors who unanimously approved the investment. Coursera and LearnVector are exploring potential commercial collaborations, though definitive agreements have not yet been announced. Following Coursera’s recent combination with Udemy, the platforms collectively reach more than 300 million learners and 12,000 enterprise customers worldwide. The first LearnVector product experiences are targeted for early 2027.
