Silicon carbide (SiC) power device maker Basic Semiconductor Co. Ltd. (9971.HK) said on Monday it will adjust prices on select products starting in the third quarter, as rapid global growth of AI and new energy vehicles have boosted demand since the start of the year. The maximum price hike for certain products will be capped at 25%. Specific pricing terms will be finalized on a case-by-case basis, factoring in variables such as product categories, order volumes, partnership models, geographic regions and bilateral commercial agreements. Shares of Basic Semiconductor opened up 1.8% at HK$35.82 on Monday. The stock is up by a cumulative 13% since its trading debut last week.
