A JLL report found that Indian companies lead globally in AI workplace readiness, with 77 per cent of business leaders recognising AI will require workspace changes, yet only 19 per cent have begun altering office space and operations, creating a 58 point gap between recognition and execution. The survey of over 2,200 CEOs, CFOs and real estate heads across 21 countries showed India scored higher than the global average on all eight AI-related measures. Nearly 58 per cent of respondents expect workforce growth over three to five years, and 62 per cent said AI will make human roles more valuable. Skills shortage is now the primary barrier for 46 per cent of Indian companies, versus 35 per cent citing budget. Nearly 56 per cent of Indian firms track AI trends against 46 per cent globally, and 45 per cent run staff training against 36 per cent globally. Additionally, 47 per cent of Indian companies are actively rolling out AI, against 42 per cent worldwide.
