Midjourney has announced the launch of Midjourney Medical, a new division focused on developing “Ultrasonic CT” or “the full-body ultrasound,” designed to deliver whole-body imaging in as little as 60 seconds using sound and water. Its first location is planned for San Francisco at the end of 2027 as a flagship health spa featuring hot tubs, saunas, cold plunges and 10 scanners. The company says the next phase includes algorithm and hardware refinement, research trials and the development of its first research spa, and notes that diagnostic medical capabilities would require FDA approval, with the initial focus on detailed body composition maps.
