Tesla just gave UAE cars Grok AI — here’s what changes

Tesla is rolling out Grok as part of software update 2026.32.6 across eligible vehicles in the UAE, distributed over the air at no additional software cost, though using Grok requires either Tesla Premium Connectivity or a stable Wi-Fi connection. Grok can interact with vehicle functions, letting drivers set destinations, modify navigation routes, find nearby points of interest, make phone calls, search for music and podcasts, or adjust climate settings without navigating touchscreen menus. It can also answer questions about operating the car, maintenance and dashboard warnings using the owner’s manual. The rollout covers eligible Model S, Model 3, Model X, Model Y and Cybertruck vehicles, with access through steering wheel controls or the touchscreen. Users can choose modes including Assistant, Language Tutor, Storyteller, Meditation and Doc, alongside Therapist and Conspiracy, plus dedicated Kids Story Time and Kids Trivia Game modes and several voice personas. Tesla says Grok conversations are anonymous to Tesla and are not associated with the vehicle, and it plans to deepen Grok’s vehicle integration through future over-the-air updates.
