Google Cloud has integrated its Gemini AI deeper into the workplace, making the standalone Gemini app a permanent part of Workspace subscriptions for businesses and launching autonomous "agents" for data analysis and search tasks. Since the beginning of the week, the Gemini app is included in Workspace plans Business, Enterprise, and Frontline. Users save an average of 105 minutes per week, and 75 percent of daily users report an improvement in their work quality. Google introduced security and governance updates, with Gemini for Workspace receiving SOC 1/2/3 and ISO 27001/27701 certifications, and Google Vault adding features for managing Gemini conversations. On June 15, 2026, Google Cloud presented specialized data agents within its Agentic Data Cloud, including the generally available Data Engineering Agent and the Data Science Agent, Database Observability Agent, and Deep Research Agent in testing. These agents work with databases like BigQuery, AlloyDB, and Spanner. Google also released the Open Knowledge Format (OKF) v0.1 on June 12, 2026, a vendor-neutral standard available on GitHub under the Apache-2.0 license. The new features have been rolling out since mid-June 2026.
