Microsoft’s delivery list for Copilot+ PCs names nine AI components, while its consumer support page lists only four. The five additional components are Execution Provider, Content Extraction, Image Search, Semantic Analysis, and Settings Model. Content extraction, image search, and semantic analysis do not appear on the consumer page. Image Creation, the local model for generating pictures, has exactly three entries in the delivery list, all dated 28 July 2026. In comparison, Phi Silica has 62 entries, Image Processing has 60, and the Execution Provider has 63. On 28 July, the preview update KB5101684 arrived for Windows 11 24H2 and 25H2, allowing removal of the Image Generation AI component from supported Copilot+ PCs where installed. Microsoft turned the image generator into a standalone package on that day; before that it was not one. The other components remain because they are part of the Windows operating system, with Phi Silica shipping inbox with Windows. The same update also brought four other AI components—Image Search, Content Extraction, Semantic Analysis, and Settings Model—to version 1.2607.840.0. The August update KB5121003 for 24H2 and 25H2, arriving on Patch Tuesday 11 August, lists the 28 July preview among the updates it contains.
