Several actors have reported that AI copied their faces, voices and acting performances without permission, replacing them with AI-generated versions in micro drama shows. Actor Ashley BeLoat discovered an AI-generated remake of her series "Hate the Way I Love You," released on MoboReels, with the same storyline but an AI actress who looked younger, had longer hair, wore a more revealing outfit, copied her movements, and sounded very similar. BeLoat contacted MoboReels through her manager to request removal or compensation but received no response. Actor Brittany Marsicek said an AI remake of her MoboReels series "Ex-Husband, Step Aside, Lady Boss Returns" featured an AI character that behaved and sounded like her; her contracts lacked AI protections and only mentioned broad editing rights. Actor Evan Gambardella said an AI version of his GoodShort series used a character that looked like him, leaving him feeling "dirty and betrayed." Gambardella noted his contract lacked strong AI protections and that proving the AI character was based on him would be difficult, making legal action challenging.
