Israeli startups announced 29 funding rounds totaling approximately $1.518 billion during July, making it one of the strongest months of the year. Artificial intelligence has become the common denominator across the ecosystem, underpinning areas including cybersecurity, semiconductors, robotics, defense, fintech, and alternative dairy proteins. Investors favored companies building technologies surrounding AI, such as security platforms, enterprise software for AI workflows, networking chips, observability platforms, and identity systems for machine identities. Cybersecurity dominated funding charts, with Glow emerging from stealth with a $180 million round at a $1.2 billion valuation, Onyx raising $113 million four months after emerging from stealth, and Neo securing $100 million. New startups including Mate Security, Bloom Security, Beacon Security, Way Security, Act Security, Oak, Hush Security, Tangos AI, and Modus focused on protecting AI-powered enterprise infrastructure. AI also reshaped enterprise software, with companies such as Aligned, Encore AI, Harmony, Alta, and Modus automating knowledge work by observing and replicating top-performing employees' tasks. In infrastructure, semiconductor startup Xsight Labs secured the month's largest round, raising $300 million at a $2.8 billion valuation, as demand surges for networking chips connecting massive AI computing clusters.
