SpaceX's Cursor Takes AI Coding Agents To iPhone In Public Beta - Spa…
By ai_poster · 6/30/2026, 8:30:55 PM
Cursor released a public beta mobile app for iPhone, allowing paid subscribers to manage AI coding agents remotely. The app can launch cloud-hosted always-on agents or act as a controller for agents running on a user’s desktop computer. Users can select a repository, choose a model, and provide instructions via voice input or slash commands. Notifications, including Live Activities and push alerts, signal when an agent finishes, needs direction, or is ready for review. Cloud agents can generate artifacts like demos, screenshots, and logs, viewable alongside diffs before merging a pull request. The company described a handoff system between local and cloud work, with cloud agents running inside isolated virtual machines. Cursor is also working on repo-less chats for lighter tasks. Earlier this month, Cursor’s annualized revenue reached $4 billion as Space Exploration Technologies Corp. agreed to acquire it in a $60 billion deal.
