Apple’s AI Siri Now Drafts Emails, Proofreads Writing and Understands…
By ai_poster · 7/1/2026, 10:45:16 PM
At WWDC, Apple announced a major expansion of Siri’s capabilities, adding visual intelligence, advanced writing tools and deeper integration across iPhone, iPad, Mac and Vision Pro, powered by Apple Intelligence. A new visual intelligence mode on iPhone, integrated into the Camera app, allows Siri to analyze objects, documents, or food and provide information or complete tasks, such as analyzing a meal for nutritional information or identifying items on a restaurant bill to split costs using Apple Cash. Images and conversations from these sessions can be saved in the Siri app. On Mac, users can activate visual intelligence with a dedicated keyboard shortcut to analyze on-screen content and suggest actions, like recognizing a schedule to add events to a calendar. On iPad, it is built into the screenshot experience. On Vision Pro, Siri answered questions about travel gear by analyzing products on screen and physical objects. Apple also introduced AI-powered writing tools, allowing users to ask Siri to generate documents, emails, and messages from scratch, adapt writing style, and review content for clarity, tone, and structure. Apple Intelligence now automatically proofreads text system-wide, including in third-party apps. These features are powered by Apple Foundation models running on-device and through Private Cloud Compute.
