Apacer announced its latest LPDDR5 CAMM2 memory solution on July 28, 2026, designed for Edge AI devices, ultra-thin laptops, and AI PCs. The module delivers enhanced signal integrity, low power consumption, and high space efficiency. CEO CK Chang stated that the CAMM2 standard features a low-profile design mounted directly onto the motherboard with screws, providing greater stability in industrial environments exposed to vibration and shock. The modular design enables on-site maintenance and flexible upgrades, reducing electronic waste. The solution combines transfer speeds of up to 8,533 MT/s and reduces installation space by up to 60% compared with traditional SO-DIMM modules. The module adopts fully lead-free resistors for compliance without RoHS exemption clauses. Apacer is also developing a new LPDDR5 SOCAMM2 form factor for AI servers and edge computing systems. Chang noted that the LPDDR5 CAMM2 product family has attracted strong interest and is preparing to enter the official sample qualification stage. Apacer expects memory supply to remain tight as investment in Edge AI infrastructure drives market demand.
