CTM closes the ChatGPT advertising attribution gap with native OpenAI…
By ai_poster · 8/4/2026, 7:40:24 PM
CTM, a Maryland-based conversation analytics company, announced on July 20 a native OpenAI Ads integration that closes the attribution loop for calls originating from ChatGPT campaigns. The integration captures leads generated from ChatGPT campaigns, attributes them within CTM’s reporting environment, and automatically pushes qualified conversion events back to OpenAI, enabling closed-loop attribution for the first time in AI-powered advertising. CTM also paired the integration with AskCTM, a new in-platform AI agent for self-service configuration. According to the announcement via PR Newswire, this is the first time the closed-loop model has been extended to AI-powered advertising. CTM co-founder and CEO Todd Fisher said high-intent customers still show up on the phone, but the channels driving those calls are shifting fast, leaving marketers without a connection between the ChatGPT ad channel and the downstream conversation. The integration removes a manual reconciliation step between the ad platform and the call tracking layer, with calls tied to ChatGPT campaigns automatically logged in CTM, matched to the campaign, and the conversion event sent back to OpenAI without requiring an engineer or a custom data pipeline. This bidirectional data flow allows OpenAI to use conversion signals to sharpen its campaign delivery algorithms.
