Tata Communications shares rose 2.05% to Rs 1,792.40 on Monday following the announcement of a partnership with Tata Tele Business Services to provide unified artificial intelligence infrastructure for small and medium-sized businesses in India. The company, a member of the Nifty Midcap 150 index, is weighing this growth initiative against a 36.44% decline in net profit for fiscal year 2026, which fell to Rs 1,006.27 crore from Rs 1,583.15 crore in fiscal year 2025. Revenue rose 7.33% to Rs 24,802.72 crore from Rs 23,108.59 crore, while earnings per share dropped to Rs 35.14 from Rs 64.44. Quarterly net profit fluctuated, reaching a peak of Rs 357.12 crore in December 2025 before softening to Rs 125.37 crore by the quarter ended June 2026, with revenue growing to Rs 6,582.82 crore in that quarter. The price-to-earnings ratio stood at 38.36x as of March 2026, compared to 24.49x in March 2025. The company declared a final dividend of Rs 17.50 per share in April 2026, with an effective date in June, and announced the issuance of stock options under its 2023 employee plan.
