CB Insights has launched an official Microsoft connector, integrating its private market intelligence into Microsoft 365 Copilot and Excel, allowing enterprise users to query real-time data on private companies, funding, and emerging trends using natural language. The integration utilizes the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to provide live, query-time data, eliminating manual data stitching. This enables strategy and investment teams to perform real-time market monitoring without leaving their primary workspace. Features include natural language queries for complex private company data, live data retrieval, and structured LLM consumption for accurate AI-generated insights. Users can automate market landscape analysis and company screening, reducing manual research time. “With this connector, clients can ask questions in natural language, retrieve CB Insights data live at query time, and bring relevant company and market intelligence into Excel without switching tools or stitching together data from multiple systems,” said Karl Kong, CEO at CB Insights.
