OpenAI has introduced a new Scheduled Tasks feature in ChatGPT, rolling out starting today for Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise subscribers. The update allows users to automate reminders, recurring work, and monitoring tasks, and includes a dedicated task management hub and improved notifications. A key part of the update is a dedicated Scheduled page in ChatGPT’s sidebar, where users can view, pause, resume, edit, or delete tasks. Users can ask ChatGPT to complete tasks during broader periods such as the morning, afternoon, or evening. The update also supports monitoring tasks, allowing ChatGPT to proactively check the web or connected applications for updates and notify users only when it finds information worth reporting. OpenAI says scheduled tasks can run at a maximum frequency of once every hour, and unattended tasks may automatically pause after a period of inactivity. The new Scheduled Tasks system will replace Pulse, which is being phased out and will be removed after 14 days.
